近30年，被西醫診斷為濕疹的個案甚多。不分年齡及性別。
小女孩的母親說：「我女兒經常皮膚痕癢，成日周身拗，西醫診斷為濕疹，給予洗澡用豬油膏，可是每次女兒洗完澡之後浴缸完全油淋淋，當然是很滑啦，所以每次都要徹底清洗浴缸，避免跣到。浴缸還未洗乾淨，她又已經開始周身拗了。清洗油脂多的浴缸十分吃力，為了女兒的健康也無可奈何。可是日復一日，無休止的工作實在吃不消，已經一段很長時間，最頭痛的是濕疹完全沒有改善，我想尋求其它解決方法。」
中醫師我說：「有很多方面要注意。首先，中醫學認為 有諸內形諸外 於我看來
令千金的皮膚非常乾燥；而且體型偏瘦，是體內脂肪嚴重不足，需要增加脂肪，因此膳食需要比較多脂肪，煲湯要改變習慣，用有少許肥的肉類或者骨類取代淨瘦肉，蒸排骨要有少許肥的，雞要連皮吃，煑青菜要放多少許食油，煮出來的青菜表面要有少許光澤等等。其次，洗澡方面，因為用豬油膏洗澡身上感覺有油，很自然地就會用熱水去清洗。熱水會去油脂，皮膚表面已經非常乾燥，不宜使用熱水，建議只用微溫水及極少沐浴露。另外，冷氣也有抽濕功能，要盡量避免，開窗比較適合她。每天切實執行，應該很快見到改變。」
過了一個星期，小女孩的母親說：「我們接受中醫師妳的建議，改變飲食習慣及沐浴方法，已經感覺女兒的皮膚沒有那麼乾燥了，她周身拗痕的情況也有改善。」
中醫師我說：「想快些改善，可以再略為增加脂肪含量較高的食物，想慢慢改變可以維持現在的飲食及洗澡方式…」
小女孩的母親說：「現在這個進度我已經很滿意。我們仍需努力，油脂比較多的食物，她也喜歡，食量也有增加，太好了。」
其他中醫師怎樣看濕疹這個問題？
新相識一位朋友也有西醫所謂濕疹問題，我見她的皮膚是乾燥；但是並不十分嚴重，也是建議上述的解決方法，才知道她的丈夫也是中醫師，她也有在診所幫忙，不過就從來未聽聞要增加脂肪及食油！
